There is currently no safe way for pedestrians to cross the road between Mandeville Rise and Coneydale, due to the layout of the roads and pavements. It is especially concerning given how close these roads are to Templewood School, as famil ... [more]

Crossing point / island aligned with WGC100 circular path needed - very busy!

Very dangerous junction for children/parents crossing to & from school. Visibility bad up New Road when crossing from east to west. Some sort of crossing is needed to prevent an accident. Hair raising when you child starts to walk independe ... [more]

To incorporate a pavement, make the traffioc one way along this section of road (between Station Road and New Road) & then the traffic in the other direction can access via Adele Avenue

A pavement between the junction at New Road and the footpath just north of St Ives Close is needed as infant/primary school children walk to school here and the road in narrow.

The path is narrow. The road is narrow. Vehicles pass dangerously close to pedestrians - including kids going to school. Vehicles often mount the (narrow) pathway to pass each other. 1. Widen the pavement from Station Road to the A1000 ro ... [more]

Road has no pavement! Build one to enable families to walk safely and avoid the cars.

Vegetation is overgrowing the footpath. It just needs cutting back and the dead leaf build-up clearing.

Hedge and turf overgrowing footway. Cut back vegetation to more than the width of the tarmac. And/or convert the adjacent parking bay to walking space.

This is dangerous junction for pedestrians to negotiate. The pedestrian path, such as it is, is very narrow. The lack of a proper path seems to encourage pedestrians, having crossed the slip road for the northbound carriageway of the A1(M), ... [more]

Pavement is very narrow, you need to step into 40mph traffic to socially distance. Speed limit should be lowered too.

Pedestrian crossing. Dropping the kerbs on both sides doesn't make this a safe or adequate place to cross.

Pedestrian crossing. Road is two lanes wide and traffic is accelerating from a large roundabout in 40mph zone onto the motorway slip road. Almost impassable at peak times.

Narrow the road over the bridge and make cars give way. There is no footpath on the north west side so pedestrians have to walk in the road and cannot be seen by oncoming traffic.

Pedestrian crossing. Just dropping the curb does not make this a safe place to cross two lanes of fast moving traffic in each direction.

There needs to be a pedestrian crossing here. This is a natural place for pedestrians to cross and the road is busy 40mph. It ridiculous to think that the low and narrow footpath under the road is adequate on its own.

Overgrown hedges covering pavement

Modify timings of controlled crossing - currently takes far too long to stop traffic, discouraging walking/cycle use,

Pavement needs widening to encourage people to walk through Welwyn, including families walking to Welwyn St Mary's school.

DANGEROUS. The pavement is very narrow and on a slope towards the road. Often with overhanging brambles that also push pedestrians towards the road and the traffic is very fast here and you are right by the school. Dangerous for children. P ... [more]

Pavement needs to be widened - currently under 1m and you have to step into 60mph traffic to pass.

Prune the bushes so the full width of the pavement is available to all.

Prune the hedges to ensure the full width of this shared use pavement is available.

Rephase lights so the green phase is in synch with the green phase around the roundabout. Red phase is far too long.

Cut back the hedges on this shared use path to maximise width.

This path is under water for much of the year. Difficult to know to fix it. Perhaps build a wall so that the river runs above the level of the path.

Widen pavement to dual use with barrier protection Route used by many children to walk or cycle to schools in WGC

Cycling on pavements that are not wide enough which puts pedestrians at risk.

Pedestrian crossing probably looked OK on paper but width is halved by railings and traffic light columns. Widen the crossing as part improving Bridge Road East overall.

Very overgrown hedges narrow the path.

Street lights in middle of payment next to overgrown hedge.

Narrow footpath with obstructive entrance barriers and overgrown hedges - path is only about 18" wide at the moment.

Stop cars parking on pavements outside Fish and Chip shop reducing space for walking.

Path split using paint, somewhat obstructed in places through this part as wel

Path was seriously overgrown dangerously restricting viability on the corner, this has recently been cut back and the pavement cleaned up.
